What surfaces can I use it on?
It is designed for grout around ceramic and porcelain tile, including bathroom floors, showers, kitchen floors and backsplashes.
Do not use it on marble, granite, travertine or other natural stone. It is also not recommended for epoxy grout. Always test a small hidden area first.
How do I use the grout cleaner?
- Remove loose dust and debris from the surface.
- Apply the solution directly along the grout lines.
- Allow it to dwell for approximately 5–10 minutes.
- Agitate the grout using the included brush head.
- Rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water.
Work in manageable sections and do not allow the solution to dry completely on the surface.
How much area does one bottle cover?
One 32 oz bottle can cover approximately 250 square feet. Since this package includes two bottles, the complete kit may cover up to approximately 500 square feet.
Actual coverage depends on grout-line width, application amount and how heavily stained the grout is.
Is a full-length handle included?
The grout brush head is included, but the extension pole is not. The brush is designed to connect to a common American standard threaded broom or painter's pole.
This allows you to clean floor grout while standing instead of spending the entire job on your hands and knees.
Can it be used on colored grout?
Yes. The cleaner does not rely on bleach to turn the grout white. It is intended to remove dirt and buildup so the grout's original color can become visible again.
It is not recommended for epoxy grout, and a hidden-area test is still advised before treating the complete floor.
Will it affect my existing grout sealer?
Because this is a strong restorative cleaner, it may weaken or remove an existing grout sealer.
After the grout has been thoroughly rinsed and allowed to dry, consider applying a suitable grout sealer to help protect the refreshed surface.
What safety precautions should I take?
Use the product in a well-ventilated area. Wear cleaning gloves, especially if you have sensitive skin, and keep children and pets away from the work area until the surface has been fully rinsed.
Do not mix the solution with bleach, ammonia or other household cleaning chemicals. Follow the directions printed on the product packaging.
Can I use it in a floor-cleaning machine?
A floor-cleaning machine is not recommended. The formula needs time to remain on the grout before agitation and rinsing. Machines may apply and immediately remove the solution before it has enough contact time.
